lady elaina

This is my little friend Elaina. During my time in Denver I had the pleasure of getting to know her and her awesome parents Laura and Dan. They are uber-smart science people so when I walked into their house "all hummin musical theater" and being a bit over the top I'm sure they were initially skeptical about their daughter's well being. It all worked out though. They trusted me and Elaina and I had an awesome few months together.

Our last afternoon together was incredibly hot and sunny. She didn't understand why she had to carry this umbrella AND wear sunscreen, but I didn't bother explaining. I used the old "cuz that's how it is"


Isn't she the most angelic little girl? She's entranced by Dora the Explorer at the moment, but that's ok.


When I suggested we make muffins together she was thrilled. Well practiced in the kitchen, her mom is an awesome cook, Elaina wasted no time in grabbing her special chair and climbing right up to the counter


I LOVE this image. It makes me smile every time. She's practically on the tips of her toes!!!
